If you’ve been following my tweets, you’ll sometime hear me talking about Asian movies and drama shows because that’s what I love to watch on my free time. Well, I also blog about them on two different blogs and have been in talks with one, JapanCinema.net, to release a monthly podcast on Japanese and Korean dramas. I’ll be working with Marie, another blogger, and the show is almost ready.
I came up with the name for our show as well as the logo. I hope it’s pretty obvious, but it’s a combination of sushi and kimchi — best known food out of Japan and Korea respectively. Since sushi rolls naturally has that squared TV shape, I combined the two idea and created a TV kimchi roll. The kimchi filling is made out of the ying-yang shape from the Korean flag, but made into an ornate shape.
So if anyone’s dying to hear my voice, you’ll get your wish soon!
UPDATE: Funny thing about this logo. The day after I made it, I was scanning my Twitter feed and saw an RT (Retweet) from @BasquesAbroad. The avatar image looks almost like my logo! I asked and was told the symbol is a traditional Basque symbol called a lauburu. Oops. So I changed it. New version below.
